今日は出来上がったばかりの作品の完成度を高める
ちょっとした秘密をお話しますね
あなたは洗う派？洗わない派？
皆さんは出来上がった作品はどうしてますか？
一度必ず水に通すよって人もいるかもしれません
でも、私は余りそれに前向きではないんです、、、
最初から洗いを必要とする硬く仕上げられたカシミアなら分かります
でも
そうじゃないなら
洗わないんです、私
使用しても、衣類以外は基本的に水に通しません（お手入れはしますよ）
衣類もアウターは極力洗いません(ワンシーズンに1回くらいかな、、、）
ルームシューズなどは消耗品って割り切ってるので頻繁に洗いますけど( ´艸｀)
なぜ洗いたくないかと言うとね
これはもう20年以上昔の話になるんですけど
関西初の有名なジーンズブランドがございまして
長年そこでお世話になり続けたわけです
（ここ数年はあんまり買ってない、、、）
その最初のジーンズを20歳そこそこで購入したときに
絶対洗っちゃダメって教えられたんです
糊を落としちゃダメって
それが美しいジーンズを育てるコツだって
それ以来、ジーンズを洗ったことは数回もないんですよ
娘たちの誕生記念に購入したジーンズのクマさんは
名前まで付いているのに
いまだかつてお風呂未体験
うちの死んだ猫と一緒( ´艸｀)
つまり
「洗ったら、色落ちするし、撚れるし、ゆがむし、縮むし、形が崩れる」
という教えをいまだに信じ続けているのでございます
理由もあるんですけどね
100年以上前のアメリカの製糸機械から輸入して
昔ながらの製造方法で作っているブランドなので
糸の状態ですでに太さがまばらなんですよ
そんな糸を織る機械も当時の物なので
かぎ針編みの筒編みと同じで
履いているうちにジーンズは片側にねじれてくるんです
染色も本当のデニム
だから色の定着も悪い
そんなジーンズを洗ってしまうと
ますますねじれて
色は染み出して
生地は凹凸だらけのゴワゴワになってしまうんです
糊も落ちると繊維が弱くなります
だから洗っちゃダメなんですって
そんな届いたときは段ボールのように硬いジーンズを
数年かけて育てて体に合わせたアタリ（と呼びます）が出て来たら
極上のヴィンテージジーンズに
そうなったら
もうそのジーンズは一生の宝物(*´▽｀*)
それ以上色落ちしないよう
それ以上変色しないよう
大切に大切にここぞというお出かけの時のためにクローゼットに
そしてまた新たなジーンズを育て始めるという
それが教えられたジーンズ好きの生き方だそうで
「柔らかくなるまでは寝るときも履いてて」
ってジーンズの先輩に言われるまま
寝ても覚めても履いて育てたジーンズ
10年ほどかけて良い感じに仕上がったころに子供が生まれて
子育てしながら履いてたら
数年もしないうちに
膝が破れて命を全うしてしまいました
「アカンやん！いかに膝が破れないように履き続けるかが命やで！」
と怒られたのは言うまでもありません
分かった
デニムの話は分かった
じゃあなんで編んだ物は洗わないの？
だって
けば立つでしょ？
けば立つと毛玉ができるでしょ？
傷むでしょ？
型崩れするでしょ？
ねじれがひどくなるでしょ？
同じ理由、、、
だからスザンナは洗いませんっ(^^)/
自慢になってない気がするけど、、、
でもそこは人それぞれ価値観が違うので
無理強いは致しません～
ということで

So why not wash the knitted things?
Because
Do yarns stand up?
If yarns stand up, yarns can make a hairball.
Will they hurt?
Will they lose shape?
Will the twist become severe?
Same reason ...
So Susanna won't wash (^^) /
I don't feel proud of it ...
But because people have different values
I won't force you ~
